Arsenal Transfers Failure: 10 Deals Wenger Should Have Completed

2. Miroslav Klose

As the Draxler deal reached a stalemate Arsenal turned to legendary Germany striker Miroslav Klose, who would've been perfect. Lazio rebuffed Arsenals loan approach and we were left wondering what might have been had Arsenal added another German star to accompany Ozil, Podolski and Mertesaker. Klose would've been the final piece of the puzzle so surely Wenger should've tried harder to land his target. You have to believe that Klose would've leapt at the chance. The ageing striker would've been playing in the best league in the world and was eligible to play Champions League football- which has eluded him recently. The players were there to partner up with. The club, manager and league were attractive. However something threw a spanner in the works and Arsenal couldn't be bothered to fix it. They moved on to other targets, which they also missed out on. Wenger was left empty handed, which could propose a similar situation with trophies come May.
