Arsenal could benefit from a bit more bite in their midfield this season and could make a move for Lyon's attacking midfielder Yoann Gourcuff. The 27-year-old was linked with a move to the Emirates back in the January window while the player
left the door open for a move to the Gunners this summer. The former AC Milan star has struggled to make an impact since his £19 million move from the Italian giants and hasn't settled in France, scoring just nine goals in 78 games. He could therefore be tempted by the opportunity for a fresh start in England and the chance to prove himself at the Emirates. The Gunners were at one stage prepared to do a swap deal with Lyon that would have seen Gervinho head the other way, but that proposal has since
been dismissed with the Ivorian instead set to complete a move to Roma. But that's not to say a deal can't happen and while Gourcuff remains part of manager Remi Garde's immediate plans at the Stade de Gerland, the fact he is the club's highest earner means he could be moved on as Lyon seek to balance their books.
