1. Luis Suarez
Arsenal's No.1 target this summer is of course Luis Suarez. The Liverpool striker has been the subject of two failed bids by the Gunners so far, the latter of which standing at
£40 million and £1. Arsene Wenger is prepared to smash the club's transfer record to sign the Uruguayan, who finished as the Premier League's second top goalscorer last season with 23 goals. It's no secret that Arsenal need a world class striker. The Londoners still haven't replaced Robin van Persie, who joined Manchester United last summer, and Suarez would be a terrific addition in those regards. Gunner's fans are crying out for a "marquee signing" this summer as the wait for silverware stretches into an eighth year, and Suarez could help end that drought. The 26-year-old wants to play for a Champions League club and that's something Arsenal can offer having qualified for Europe's top club competition for a 17th successive season. Suarez's situation is complicated however by the fact his club are continuing to deny that Arsenal's bid of over £40 million activated his release clause, and this saga could drag on all the way to the end of the transfer window.
