Arsenal Transfers: Wenger's 10 Biggest Ever Flops

5. Eduardo da Silva

Eduardo's career at Arsenal never really got off the ground after a series of appalling injuries, one of those being a broken leg sustained in February 2008 after a horror-tackle by Birmingham's Martin Taylor that Wenger deemed to dangerous that he called for a lifetime ban for the player.* Before that incident, Eduardo struggled to break into the Arsenal first team following his move from Dinamo Zagreb in 2007. Robin van Persie's lengthy injury layoff later that year however meant he finally got the chance to partner Emanuel Adebayor up front. Following the horrific leg break he returned to action a year later in 2009, but suffered a hamstring injury in his comeback game.** Where is he now? In 2010 Shakhtar Donetsk signed him after he managed only 8 goals in 41 Arsenal appearances. Source(s): * Sky Sports, BBC
