4. Alex Hleb

The Belarusian attacking midfielder was probably the single most shot-shy signing of Arsene Wenger's tenure at Arsenal boss, which Wenger should probably have predicted when he signed him from Stuttgart in 2005, where he had managed 19 goals in five years. (Whoever gave Wenger the nickname Le Professeur?) He fared even worse at the Emirates, where he managed just ten goals in three years. After Eduardo's horrific injury in 2008, Hleb, for reasons unknown, was used as a striker. It never worked out.
Where is he now? For some reason Barcelona saw potential in him and signed him in 2008. He spent four years with the Catalans and scored... no goals. He has found himself farmed out on loan three times since then, to former club Stuttgart, Birmingham and latterly Woldsburg. He's currently at BATE Borisov. No, I've never heard of them, either.
