Arsenal vs Borussia Dortmund - Match Preview

The last time these two teams met at the Signal Iduna Park in September, both sets of fans could have been forgiven for believing that 2011/2012 was going to be a season to forget.

Team News:

Abou Diaby returns for Arsenal after a long time out with an ankle injury, and he replaces former Borussia Dortmund, and one time Bundesliga transfer record holder Tomas Rosicky in the squad. After Mertesacker's display on Saturday, Johannes Djourou could come in at right back, meaning Laurent Koscielny will partner Thomas Vermaelen in central defence. Carl Jenskinson, Bacary Sagna and Kieran Gibbs are all still missing. Mikel Arteta and Gervinho are expected to be rested, meaning Diaby and Marouane Chamakh may get the chance to impress. Flying Dutchman Robin Van Persie will hope that his fantastic goalscoring form can continue as he leads the line tonight. Dortmund have no fresh injury worries, though their main concern is over Serbian defender Neven Subotic, who is likely to be out until the New Year due to a facial injury he sustained in their 5-1 win versus Wolfsburg earlier in the month. Possible line ups: Arsenal (4-3-3) Szczesny Djourou, Koscielny, Vermaelen, A. Santos Ramsey, Song, Diaby Walcott, Van Persie, Chamakh Dortmund (4-2-3-1): Weidenfeller Piszczek, Santana, Hummels, Schmelzer Bender, Kehl Gotze, Kagawa, Grosskreutz Lewandowski Tonight's match preview was brought to you by 3CardPoker.
