Following a successful trial, Kolo Toure arrived at Arsenal from Ivory Coast's well known club ASEC Mimosas in 2002. Though initially used as a full-back and defensive midfielder, Toure became Sol Campbell's partner at the heart of Arsenal's defence. In spite of being prone to a mistake, Toure was incredibly athletic and read the game well.

After Arsenal

The Ivory Coast man is one of the few Invincibles still playing professional football at a high level. Kolo left Arsenal in 2009 for a fee of £14m to join brother Yaya at Manchester City, where he spent four years, making 82 league appearances.

Now 34 years of age, Toure has gone on to make over 100 international appearances, and remains at Liverpool after moving to Merseyside on a free in 2013.
