2. Chelsea
Following the sale of Didier Drogba, Chelsea were left with only the declining talents of Fernando Torres as a forward option, which wasn't enough given his rapidly decreasing form. They soon attempted to patch that problem up with the signing of Demba Ba from Newcastle, which may yet turn out to be a great capture considering his price (and as long as his supposedly notorious knee holds.) But, following on from a promising start, Ba hasn't hit the goalscoring heights that Chelsea hoped he would immediately hit, and they're still looking a little light up front. Goals are still coming, but Chelsea are mostly relying on the midfielders, with the evergreen Frank Lampard, the brilliant Juan Mata, the skillfull Oscar and the explosive Eden Hazard all regularly chipping in on the scoresheet. Benteke could be the man to fill the gaping void left by Drogba's departure and the financial package that Chelsea could offer Villa and the Belgian might be too good to turn down.
