Blackburn Rovers Manager: Top 5 Candidates To Replace Berg

2. Mark Hughes

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bOEhGbkP6KY Mark Hughes enjoyed four seasons as Blackburn Rovers manager between 2004 and 2008 and led them to 7th in the Premier League in his final year in charge at Ewood. Heady heights they must seem now for Rovers fans when afforded hindsight. He left his job at Blackburn to take over at Manchester City who were just undergoing their revolution, though he only survived at the Etihad for one season, and was sacked with a win record of just 46.75%. Two more managerial spells followed, one at Fulham and the other at QPR, and he was again sacked from both positions, the latter of which he endured a 12 game losing streak. Having spent so much time under the spotlight at Premier League clubs, particularly at Man City, perhaps a move to the Championship would be a welcome relief for Hughes. Blackburn Rovers remain the only club he has left on good terms having been given his marching orders by any side since then, and are probably one of only a few teams who would welcome him back.
