6. Tough Travels
Away from home, however, it is a different story. Mackay has won less than a fifth (2 of 11) of his team's matches on the road. Six defeats conversely means the Bluebirds have flown back to their nest with nothing on more than half their outings elsewhere. Cardiff are the third lowest scorers Premier League with 13 and a mere five have come in away matches. Only Crystal Palace and Sunderland, sides in the relegation zone, have netted fewer times on their travels. You might think that is quite shocking, but Aston Villa are the only team in the bottom half with double figures for away goals. Macaky's men are just one strike shy of the average scoring record on the road for the teams currently placed 11th to 20th.
