Cardiff: 5 Reasons Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Can Save The Bluebirds
4. Decision Making
It's still the early stages but the signs so far are very good indeed. Solksjaers shrewd substitutions at the weekend provided the difference. The man once dubbed as a super-sub certainly knows a thing or two about using his bench. He introduced Fraizer Campbell and Craig Noone to the action when his side were trailing to Papiss Cisse's strike and Noone took just one minute and 12 seconds to find the scoresheet. Ten minutes from time, Campbell provided the winning goal which sent Cardiff into the fourth round. Those substitutions turned the game on its head. The players scored the goals but it was Solskjaer that put them there at the perfect time. He's certainly learnt a thing or two about impacting the game from the bench during his time as a player and he has transferred those lessons to a managerial level, which gives him a huge edge. We're only one game into the Solskjaer era at Cardiff but if his decision making continues in this fashion then it could be a very enjoyable spell for the Norwegian.
