Celtic Transfers: 10 Signings To Rebuild The Champions

5. Chris Eagles

Current Club: Unattached You could be forgiven for expecting Chris Eagles to be too old to really consider as a first team option, but despite being around for seemingly ages, the former Manchester United youngster is only 28 years old. Most recently with Bolton, the midfielder confessed himself disappointed to have to leave the club, having built up a rapport with the fans, and been a key part of the side that almost made the play-offs in 2013. Unfortunately, despite manager Dougie Freedman's suggestion that he would build his team around Eagles, he played only 16 times last term. Despite that, Eagles remains a great option, especially on a free, and employed in the right position, he could have the same kind of impact that Kris Commons had last year. Looking back to the 2012/13 season, he scored 12 times, and weighed in with 12 assists, proving what a creative force he could be.
