Chelsea Transfer News: Radamel Falcao To Join On Loan In January?

Chelsea will look to secure an audacious loan deal to bring unsettled Monaco forward Radamel Falcao to Stamford Bridge in January, according to the Daily Star. Falcao is hoping to force through a move away from the free-spending French club just four months on from his £40 million arrival from Atletico Madrid. This is because the former River Plate man is reportedly unhappy with his current contract, which sees him earn ‚7 million-a-year after tax rather than the ‚14 million originally agreed as part of his transfer. The 27-year-old has subsequently asked for a move away on loan in January, with Jose Mourinho being alerted by the Colombian's contractual situation. Mourinho watched Falcao in action for his country last month in their 2-0 win over Belgium, and is keen to add to his forward line with Fernando Torres, Samuel Eto'o and Demba Ba misfiring at present. Real Madrid are also thought to hold an interest in the player, who has scored nine times in 14 matches this season, and both are appealing destinations considering each are involved in the Champions League. Falcao would not be cup-tied as Monaco are not involved in Europe this season, which makes him an even more attractive proposition for Chelsea.
