Chelsea Transfers: 10 Players They Must Sign This Summer

Though Champions League-less Chelsea may find themselves shopping in Poundland this summer, there remains an outside chance that they could in fact sign last weekend's Champions League final difference-maker Gareth Bale.

Mostly, this is because of Real Madrid's reciprocal interest in Blues attacker Eden Hazard, who has been disarmingly open about his desire to one day play under current Galacticos boss Zinedine Zidane.

All else being equal, Bale is probably the better footballer of the two, but given that Hazard is a couple of years younger and the former far more prone to lengthy spells on the sidelines, a straight swap actually seems more or less fair.

Should Real beg to differ, perhaps Chelsea could throw in someone like David Luiz to sweeten the deal. His dressing room banter alone is worth an extra £20m or so.
