2. Mauro Icardi (Inter Milan)
The Metro is this week claiming that incoming Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri - formerly of Napoli - is aiming to make Mauro Icardi his inaugural signing when he rocks up at Stamford Bridge this summer.
Let's set aside the fact that no manager - not even Antonio Conte, after guiding the Blues to a fairly comfortable title victory in his first season - gets any say over transfers in West London, and assume that this is accurate.
In that case, this would be an awesome signing for the FA Cup holders. The Inter striker is a genuine poacher of the Ruud van Nistelrooy or Michael Owen mould, a player who has already netted 100 Serie A goals for a not particularly special Inter side.
It would, of course, also likely spell the end for current Chelsea frontman Alvaro Morata, who could yet come good after a disappointing first season in England. But that's the problem: he's already swimming against the tide - just like Fernando Torres seven years ago.
