2. Luka Modric
Jose Mourinho didn't make too many friends throughout his three-year stay in the Spanish capital but one player he did win favour with was attacking midfielder Luka Modric. Both were immensely unpopular last season at Real Madrid. Mourinho had numerous bust-ups with several key players while Modric was voted one of the
worst Spanish signings of the season alongside ex-Arsenal man Alex Song. And in those regards, the two are perfect for each other. Chelsea have had a long-standing interest in the Croatian, and had two bids for the star knocked back by the midfielder's former club Tottenham Hotspur in 2011. He was eventually sold to Real for £33 million last summer but has failed to live up to his price tag. He may find that he does not factor into Real's plans next season with a new manager set to be appointed in the coming weeks and such uncertainty could lead to a return to the Premier League.
