Chelsea are reportedly on the verge of making a bid for Zenit St Petersburg striker,
according to reports. Now that long-term target Edinson Cavani has
undergone a medical with French champions PSG, Mourinho has switched his attentions to Hulk as he goes in search of a big-name striker this summer. The 27-year-old only scored 11 goals in 30 appearances for the Russian club last season, and is understood to be unhappy with life at Zenit. He joined
Sine-Belo-Golubye just last year but reportedly wants a move after
being subjected to racial abuse by his club's own fans last December. The striker was apparently absent from training this morning as Chelsea line up their bid, though they may face competition from Tottenham, whose manager Andre Villas-Boas coached the player during their Porto days.
