2. Burak Yilmaz
Chelsea have been tracking Burak Yilmaz
since summertime, and have been given fresh impetus to make a formal offer in January with news the striker could be sold in the upcoming transfer window. Galatasaray president Unal Aysal says the 28-year-old
could be up for sale this winter, and that he "favours" Turkish players going to Europe to play in European leagues. He said:
"If Burak wants to go and Chelsea are interested then of course the deal will happen. "I favour Turkish players going to Europe to play in European leagues."
Aysal's sensational comments will come as a huge boost to Chelsea if they are in the market for a new striker in January. Yilmaz has been in sensational form of late, netting seven league goals in 14 appearances this term. He also plundered 24 in 30 league outings last season and an even more impressive 33 in 34 appearances in his final season at Trabzonspor in 2011-12, before making the move to Gala. And Chelsea should take full advantage of Aysal's surprisingly-reciprocal attitude by making a bid next month.
