Chelsea Transfers: 5 Strikers Mourinho Needs To Cure Goal Drought

3. Didier Drogba

Didier Drogba was instrumental to so many of Chelsea's successes - both under the Jose Mourinho era and subsequent tenures of other bosses, and famously helped them win the Champions League for the first time in 2012. He called time on his stay at Stamford Bridge last summer when he joined Shanghai Shenhua, though the move was a disaster and ended up at Turkish side Galatasaray back in January. There, he has been a success, providing the assist to Wesley Sneijder on Wednesday to help his side dramatically beat Juventus in their crucial Group B clash to reach the knock-out stages of the Champions League. Earlier this summer, reports surfaced that Mourinho was weighing up the possibility of bringing the Ivorian back to the Bridge, in a move that could happen next summer. Drogba scored 157 goals in 341 appearances for Chelsea between 2004-12, and won three Premier League titles, four FA Cups and the Champions League, and remains a fan favourite in west London.
