3. Xabi Alonso

Alonso According to the Independent, it is looking increasingly likely that one of Mournho's first summer signings will be Xabi Alonso. The Portuguese has reportedly forged a close relationship with the Spaniard, who has been one of his closest allies in the dressing room. He will be entering the final year of his contract next season and could be available on the cheap if he moved now, and with Frank Lampard still looking likely to leave the club in the summer, a spot in the centre of Chelsea's midfield would be lying vacant for the 31-year old former Liverpool star to fill - albeit on a stop-gap basis most likely.
