Crystal Palace: 5 Players Tony Pulis Should Sign To Save Eagles From Relegation

1. Mark Hudson

Cardiff City club captain Hudson once held a similar position at Palace. He was part of the squad that went up into the Premier League in the 2003-04 season when the Eagles were bottom at Christmas under Iain Dowie. Spending four-and-a-half seasons at Selhurst after joining on loan from Fulham, Hudson already has nearly 150 appearances in the red and blue stripes to his name. Could a second stint be on this card in January? Yes, if we believe the Daily Mirror. They claim Pulis wants Hudson, who has lost his place in the Bluebirds defence to Malky Mackay's summer signing Steven Caulker, to help tighten things up in South London. Hudson would be the perfect replacement for the perpetually injured Paddy McCarthy. He is an experienced head that knows the club and would create genuine competition for places in defence. Two from Adrian Mariappa, Danny Gabbidon and Damien Delaney know they are going to be picked at the moment. At 31 years of age Hudson can ill afford to sit on the Cardiff bench much longer. He may want to fight for his place, but it seems abundantly clear that Bluebirds boss Mackay has no room for him now. Who do you think Crystal Palace should sign?
