Derby County 0-2 Chelsea: FA Cup Player Ratings

Derby

Lee Grant: Had no chance with either goal. Oscar's strike was so powerful the Rams goalie could not react fast enough. 5.5/10. Andre Wisdom: Great tracking back on Eto'o when he had a run on goal after 20 minutes. The near post was his domain and Chelsea scored there from a free kick in the second half. Pinned back second half by Hazard. 5/10. Michael Keane: Deflected Ramires's shot onto the top of the bar at 2-0 down in a performance that contained plenty of promise. Manchester United youngster has no shame in being part of a backline breached by two tiny lapses. 5.5/10. Jake Buxton: A rock in defence for long spells today, but on the losing side. Could have done more to stop Oscar from scoring. 5.5/10. Craig Forsyth: Attacking left back did admirably, but was facing Ramires out of position. Needed to be more alert to a throw in down his side which ended in Oscar scoring. 5/10. Will Hughes: Booked for a late foul on Oscar on a quiet showing from talented youngster. 4/10. John Eustace: Booked for a foul on Essien midway through the first half. Later shot straight at Schwarzer. Subbed. 4.5/10. Jeff Hendrick: Deputized for injured Bryson, but did not carry his goal threat. 4.5/10. Jamie Ward: Early effort deflected wide, but always looked to come inside. Fouled Hazard for the free kick from which Chelsea scored. Subbed. 5/10. Chris Martin: Good holdup play and pinned Cahill and Luiz back well in the first half. Became isolated, but still managed to work Schwarzer late on. 5.5/10. Simon Dawkins: Shot over on the turn with chest and volley at 0-0, but ebbed away as tie progressed. Subbed. 5/10. Subs: Conor Sammon: Given 20 minutes by McClaren, but did very little as Chelsea were in the ascendancy. 4.5/10. Mason Bennett: Also thrown on for 20 minutes and young forward dragged an effort wide. 5/10. James Bailey: Midfielder got the last ten minutes as he stepped up his return from injury. Rating N/A.
