Derby County 0-2 Chelsea: FA Cup Player Ratings

Chelsea

Mark Schwarzer: Held a couple of crosses and a shot from Eustace straight at him, but that's all the veteran Aussie had to do in first half. Worked by Martin late on. 6/10. Cesar Azpilicueta: Spanish fullback was rather on the periphery of this cup tie. 5/10. Gary Cahill: Made two decent blocks on Ward chances. Another clean sheet for one of England's first choice centre backs here. 6/10. David Luiz: Unsettled by Ward coming inside from the right, but fairly disciplined today. 5.5/10. Ashley Cole: Called upon to do some last-ditch defending early and late on. 6.5/10. Michael Essien: Flashes of the old Essien here, especially the driving run from deep early on and when Eustace brought him down. Subbed. 5.5/10. John Obi Mikel: Marked his 300th game for Chelsea by scoring a rare goal. 6/10. Ramires: Curled wide from distance after half an hour. Booked for diving in second half and saw a deflected effort clip the top of the crossbar at 2-0. 5/10. Oscar: Whipped a free kick off target and fired wide again later in first half. Smashed in a second goal with 20 minutes left and subbed. 6/10. Willian: Poor crossing first half and with no urgency, but assisted Mikel's goal after the break. 5.5/10. Samuel Eto'o: Seemed reluctant to pull the trigger when in behind Derby on 20 minutes. Subbed. 4.5/10. Subs: Eden Hazard: Our man of the match. Came on for Essien ten minutes into the second half. Won the free kick from which Chelsea scored their first. Assisted the second goal too. His extra quality was a big factor in this victory. 7/10. Fernando Torres: Fluffed his lines when he rounded Grant after coming on ten minutes into the second half. Worked the keeper later with a low effort later on. 5/10. Lewis Baker: Youngster thrown on for a debut by Mourinho for the final five minutes. Rating N/A. Who was your man of the match? Have your say below.
