1. Robert Lewandowski
It is widely believed that he has agreed a pre-contract agreement with Bayern (however, there is now some doubt, with Lewandowski now claiming that the Premiership is where), is one of the most complete strikers in the world, last season scoring 36 goals in all competitions for Borussia Dortmund, and already on 9 this season, proving why he has been one the the most sought-after strikers in Europe over the past few seasons. And it is a story of what could of been for Blackburn Rovers. The volcanic ash cloud prevented Lewandowski, who at the time was an unknown youngster playing for Lech Pozna in the Polish League, flying to England to meet then Rovers manager Sam Allardyce. Since then Lewandowski has won back-to-back Bundesliga titles, the DFB-Pokal (where Lewandowski scored a hat-trick to help Dortmund record a 5-2 over Bayern in the final), and the DFL-Supercup. Although he has never shone for Poland like he has for Dortmund, it would be foolish to overlook the danger he posses for the English defense. And it is not only his abilities in front of goal, since joining Dortmund he has developed his skills linking-up with the midfield and creating chances for his team-mates. Additionally, with his 4 goals against Real Madrid and hat-trick against Bayern, he has proved he has the capability to do damage to any defense. Usually deployed as a lone-striker, Lewandowski posses mean physical attributes, he is strong, strong and has lightning-fast reactions. His strength aiding his ability to hold-up play, together with his developed passing, brings his other team-mates into play, his pace lets him get in behind the defense, and his reactions means that he will pounce on any mistakes. He is also very creative, he can twist and turn his way past defenders, or send a team-mate through with an improvised pass or flick. Along with his international form, he is very unpredictable on the pitch, and this will cause big-problems for the English defense, who will have to be vary wary of the threat he poses, however if they find an in-form Lewandowski, he will be extremely difficult to stop, as various top-class defenders can testify.
