Everton Transfers: 5 Replacements For Romelu Lukaku

3. Loic Remy (Newcastle/QPR)

This transfer would perhaps be a bit more expensive than the previous two, as Remy still has three years remaining on his QPR contract, and will not be short of options this summer. Newcastle are hoping to sign him permanently, but it remains to be seen whether they are willing to stump up the cash, as QPR are thought to want much more than the £8m they paid for him in January 2013. Everton may see Remy as too pricey themselves, but they would be buying proven Premier league quality. Whether they would want to match the high wages he is on at QPR is another matter, and if Harry Redknapp manages to bring the Loftus Road side back to the Premier League, Remy could even decide to give life in London another crack. Eleven league goals for Newcastle this season has certainly kept Remy's price quite high, but if Martinez can deliver European football to Goodison Park next season, he may be able to use that carrot to negotiate the Frenchman's wages down slightly. If not, then at least the extra revenues of European football would help pay for them.
