Every Conor McGregor UFC Fight Ranked From Worst To Best
1. Nate Diaz II
Where: UFC 202
"This is a dog fight ladies and gentlemen."
Joe Rogan's words rang ever so true over commentary, encapsulating in one short sentence the bloody battle that symbolised the very fiery feud they were wrapped up in.
At UFC 202, Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz picked right up where they left off months earlier, firing off the second chapter to one of the most entertaining rivalries ever.
It was a roller coaster of a contest, as both men seemingly took turns taking control of the fight. McGregor found success early, dropping Diaz three times in the first seven minutes with his lighting left hand. In contrast, Diaz used his unflappable ability to absorb punishment and walk right through it, pummeling McGregor late in the second before absolutely dominating the Irishman in an incredibly one-sided third round.
One of the main difference makers for many analysing the fight, was McGregor's leg kicks, crumpling Diaz's lead leg over and over by landing 40 of them. The championship rounds really could have gone either way, as fatigue sat in and the blood continued to flow.
It was a brawl from start to finish. Diaz's face at the end told enough of a story as the judges leaned ever so slightly in McGregor's favour.
