Every Premier League Man Utd No.7 Ranked Worst To Best
2. David Beckham
It was so tough to call the winner of this list but in the end David Beckham is just pipped into second place.
Sir Alex Ferguson was initially reluctant to hand the wonder-kid the iconic shirt following Cantona's retirement and instead offered it to United captain Roy Keane. But the Irishman refused it and insisted Fergie give it to Becks, saying: "It suited him."
Keane was (for once) 100% right. Beckham was the star man of the Premier League from the late 1990s through to the early 2000s, helping bring plenty of silverware back to Old Trafford and of course there were the two assists in the Champions league final that helped United win the treble in 1999, a year where he also finished runner-up in the Ballon d'Or
Beckham eventually called time on his United career, leaving for Real Madrid, followed by spells at LA Galaxy, AC Milan and PSG, where he helped make the 23 shirt a household name in football. He is now a co-owner of League Two side Salford City (alongside the rest of the Class of '92) and MLS club Inter Miami.
Arguably the most famous footballer of all time, Becks' skills transcended the sport and have cemented him as perhaps England's greatest ever player.
