Fantasy Football Tips: 10 Best Goalscoring Options For 2014-15

7. Edin Dzeko

A cheaper goalscoring alternative is Edin Dzeko. The Manchester City striker has been impressive since moving to England from German side Wolfsburg in 2011 and enjoyed his best season in front of goal at City in 2013-14, netting 16 Premier League goals. Unlike a few other options on this list, the Bosnian has proven himself in English football and though he doesn't always play every week, has made a reputation for himself as an effective 'impact player' by coming on in the latter stages of games and turning the tide in his side's favour. Even if he only plays the last 20 minutes of games he is always a danger in the penalty area and will clock up his fair share on points in Fantasy Football. His sometimes-limited playing time makes him a cheap option at just £8.5 million and he is even expected to start the first few games of the season for City due to Alvaro Negredo's injury and Sergio Aguero's lack of fitness, with the Argentine sitting out Sunday's Community Shield defeat to Arsenal. That then makes Dzeko a good bet and for his price the forward represents something of a shrewd move. Value: £8.5 million
