5. Nacho Monreal (Arsenal)

Anyone looking for an Arsenal defender in their fantasy squad might be tempted by Héctor Bellerín, with the Spaniard being one of his side's best players last year, earning 132 points after scoring twice and creating four more goals. However, the arrival of Swiss veteran Stephan Lichtsteiner at Arsenal could reduce Bellerín's impact.

That's why Nacho Monreal might prove to be the smarter option. He earnt 130 points last year and was one of the top-scoring defenders in the league, registering five goals and two assists in total. At 32, the versatile Spanish defender probably only has one or two more years left at the top level, but he just enjoyed one of his best ever seasons.

WIth new boss Unai Emery at the helm, Arsenal are entering a new era and will want to be challenging for trophies this season. Monreal can have a big say in that at both ends of the pitch. It's important to note that he'd only scored one league goal for Arsenal before last season, so we can't expect him to net another four or five, but he could certainly been one of the London side's better players over the next year and costs just £5.5m.
