We made it through the wilderness, guys. We made it through. It's been a tough few months and that Brazilian placebo only lasted about a week, but now we've got the real thing again - tomorrow sees he return of English top flight football, as the Premier League starts up again. Which, much more importantly, means that Fantasy Football is back too! Here at WhatCulture.com we're fans of the official Fantasy Premier League. We've set up our own league and everything (with a hilarious pun name that's good to share, soz). One of the big opening weekend matches will be Liverpool v Southampton and, if you're smart, you'll be cramming as many Merseysiders into your squad as possible. Of course "as many as possible" is, well, three. And the choices may not be as obvious as you think, what with Anfield bidding goodbye to champion striker and possible cannibal Luis Suarez this summer, and snapping up a total of seven new players with the cash he brought in. They're also gearing up to finally play some Champion's League football again, so you know that manager Brendan Rodgers has been working them hard on the training grounds, getting them ready for the international stage. We've done all right in the past with Liverpool players on our fantasy team, and we've brought our past experience and analytical know-how to pick through the stats, scores and prices of the squad to figure out which are the best to spend your imaginary millions on before the season kicks off on Saturday. These are the three essential Liverpool players you need for your fantasy football squad in the 2014/15 season.
