Following the departure of Suarez Liverpool failed to carry on where they left off in the 2014/15 season, eventually finishing in 6th. Other factors played a part but there were disappointments elsewhere in domestic cups and the Champions League. Who knows what the future holds for the likes of Balotelli and Borini, but even with Origi arriving after a loan spell in France and Ings joining, Liverpool will be in need of attacking options. Sturridge is a quality striker but is unlikely to be involved until some time between September and October. Benteke has proven himself within the difficult landscape of relegation battles and could be a key figure as Liverpool look to improve on last season's showing. With Manchester United thought to be interested in acquiring the Belgian it would be wise for Liverpool to act fast. The statistics show he's one of the most underrated strikers in the Premier League, and he certainly has what it takes to be a superb signing for Brendan Rodgers. As well as this, at the age of 24, he has plenty more goal-scoring years ahead of him.
