Ferrari have also announced that Felipe Massa will be leaving the team at the end of the season. Despite almost winning the World Drivers€™ Championship in 2008, Massa has been largely uncompetitive in the last few years. His position as a clear number two driver to Alonso disadvantaged him. Ferrari have decided to go in a new direction with a driver who can challenge Alonso more on the track be re-signing Kimi Raikkonen.
