Formula One 2014 Driver Line-ups - What We Know So Far
Sauber Current Drivers: Nico Hulkenberg / Esteban Gutierrez Confirmed Drivers: No officially confirmed drivers. The 2013 season saw a brand new driver line-up for Sauber. Esteban Gutierrez was brought into Formula 1 and Nico Hulkenberg left Force India to sign for the team. The general view was that Gutierrez was signed to help keep Mexican investors involved in the team after Sergio Perez left. However now that the team has announced that 17 year old Sergey Sirotkin will be driving for them next year (subject to him getting a Super License) doubt has been cast over the Mexicans future. Sirotkin is bringing a large amount of Russian investment with him making the investment Gutierrez brings less essential. Although Hulkenberg hasnt ruled out staying at the team for another season it does not look likely that he will be racing for Sauber next year.
