How A World Football XI Might Look In 5 Years Time

Attacking Midfield - MARIO GOTZE

Gotze was once famously called "one of the best talents Germany has ever had", by Bayern Munich sporting director Matthias Sammer, and he is really starting to blossom into a magical player. The 22-year-old earned a move to Bayern from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2013, but in his first season he only showed glimpses of his brilliance, as he struggled to break into Pep Guardiola's team. His World Cup Final-winning goal for Germany this summer- he will forever go down in legend for that goal, regardless of how his career pans out- seems to have given him a big boost though, and his performances appear to be on the up at Allianz Arena. There are still some who have their doubts about just how good Gotze is, but you just feel he is waiting to go up a huge gear at some point. He has unbelievable natural ability, with fabulous footwork, creativity and awareness. By the time 2019 rolls around, he will surely be one of the first names on the team-sheet for club and country, and may well be considered the finest attacking midfielder around.
