9. Loic Remy

Club: QPR With a mooted move to Arsenal stalled on personal terms and finances, talk has returned that the Frenchman might be back on his way to Newcastle on a more permanent deal, but Liverpool would be smart to attempt to hijack the move to bring the pacy, mobile striker to Anfield instead. Remy proved last season that he is well suited to the Premier League, scoring 14 times for a Newcastle side that lacks the attacking thrust of Liverpool's midfield (especially now with Adam Lallana adding his own impressive creative skills to the mix). In comparison to the Reds, Newcastle scored just 43 goals all season, so Remy's final haul seems all the more impressive, especially as injuries limited his starts in the Premier League to just 24. Remy's biggest appealing factor is his price - at only £8m, the Frenchman would allow for further acquisition in other areas of the squad, and with the Liverpool defence having let in a massive 50 goals last year, that's perhaps a good thing.
