shrewd piece of business last January, Rodgers spent a mere £12 millon on the young English striker to sign him from rivals Chelsea. The striker repayed the faith by notching up an impressive 10 strikes in 14 appearances, and
has been hotly tipped to challenge for the Premier League's "Golden Boot" this time around. Whether the young striker can shoulder the responsibility of leading the line alone is another question entirely. In addition, without the support of a world-class striker in the calibre of Luis Suarez, can the England international be relied upon to deliver the kind of return needed to challenge for a Champions League position. The smart money would be on the former Stamford Bridge youngster translating his talent and impressive latter-season form into a slew of goals for the Reds when the Premier League resumes in a few short days, but the question still remains as to if he can drag the slumbering giants back into the big-time.
