Liverpool Transfers: 10 World Class Players To Buy With Suarez Money
5. Henrikh Mkhitaryan
Frank Augstein/AP/Press Association ImagesHenrikh Mkhitaryan may have moved to Borussia Dortmund last summer after snubbing a move to Liverpool, but that's not to say the Reds have necessarily given up hope on the move. Mkhitaryan was the one player every Liverpool fan wanted at Anfield last summer and they nearly got their man, until the Armenian plumped for a move to Dortmund in favour of Champions League football.
Liverpool are back in Europe now and can offer the carrot of playing in the big leagues to potential new recruits, and the attacking midfielder might find it harder to turn the Reds down if they made a renewed approach for him this summer. The player himself even teased earlier this year that he could still pull on a red shirt "one day" and, following a disappointing debut season at the Westfalenstadion where he struck only nine goals, a move could be on the cards despite the fact he has only had 12 months in Germany.
Though he hasn't yet lived up to his potential at Dortmund, Mkhitaryan scored 25 goals in 29 appearances in his final season at former club Shakhtar Donetsk and has shown all the hallmarks of a word class midfielder.
