Liverpool Transfers: 4 Newcastle Players Rodgers Should Poach This Summer

2. Ayoze Perez

With forward flops Mario Balotelli, Fabio Borini and Rickie Lambert all likely to leave Anfield at the end of the campaign, Reds boss Rodgers will want to strengthen his striking options.

And the beleaguered boss could do far worse than bringing in the young spaniard, Perez, who has been a sensation for Newcastle since joining for £1m from Tenerife last summer.

The 21-year-old, who has operated in all front three attacking positions this season, possesses a confident finishing ability and sublime dribbling skills and it was for good reason that both Barcelona and Real Madrid were apparently interested in signing him before Newcastle pulled off the coup.

Perez would provide a decent option in the Reds€™ repertoire of attacking options, and would link well with star-striker Daniel Sturridge when required.
