Luis Suarez: The Good, The Bad And The Ugly

3. His Seemingly Genuine Love For LFC

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jxQQD1XyKeg For anyone who doubts this section, feel free to look up Suárez' reaction to his second free kick goal scored against Zenit in the Europa League Round of 32 Second Leg. He exploded with passion, love and a desire to please the fans! He was so in-tune with the crowd that night it was frightening. Not since Torres has a foreign player stepped into the club and taken the hearts of the fans so completely - despite his obvious imperfections. It often speak of the dangers of loving a foreign player too deeply - how it hurts when Real, Bayern or Barca come calling. But with Luis it doesn't matter because he always seems to say the right thing. Even before this heavy ban, Suárez had just committed his services to next season - stating he'd reject any offers for at least one more season. If he'd left after yet another failure to acquire Champions League football then fair enough but he'd decided to stay and for what? Money? I doubt it, others could throw more at him. For trophies? I doubt that too, others could win more for him. He wants to stay because he loves Liverpool. In 10 years time, that's why I'll remember him - it means a lot to a supporter when a foreign player becomes connected to the club, even more so than a local player.
