Man City: 5 Reasons Alvaro Negredo Will Be A Success

With Manchester City completing their Sevilla raid with the signing of striker Alvaro Negredo, here are five reason swhy the Spaniard will succeed at his new club.

5. Manuel Pellegrini

City's new boss will be all too familiar with Negredo, having managed in the same country that has seen the 27-year-old turn into one of Europe€™s most prolific strikers. Pellegrini managed in Spain for over 9 years, meaning he has watched the Spaniard develop as a player, both during his time at Almeria and Sevilla. Having come up against him on numerous occasions, the Chilean will know exactly where Negredo's strengths lye and how to take advantage of them at City. Negredo has the perfect manager to help him replicate the excellent form he achieved in La Liga last season.

4. City's Squad

Jesus Navas At Sevilla, Negredo mainly relied on Jesus Navas for assists because the Sevilla team held very few talented play makers. Despite this, Negredo still managed to bag over 70 goals during his time in Andalusia, and has gained a reputation as a goal 'poacher', meaning he takes chances when he gets them. There are few clubs who boast a stronger attacking force than Manchester City, and with world class play makers such as David Silva and Samir Nasri at the club, Negredo may find chances coming his way very often in Manchester.
