Man City 6-0 Spurs: Player Ratings

Man City

Costel Pantilimon: Had virtually nothing to do. If opposition was as poor as this every week Joe Hart would never win his place back. One miscommunication with Demichelis in first half and missed a stoppage time punch from a Spurs corner if you want to be hypercritical. 6/10.

Pablo Zabaleta: Quiet in the first half and only flashes of familiar raids up and down the right flank by the Argentine. It didn't matter as Navas ahead of him ran riot. 6/10.

Martin Demichelis: Cleared Lamela shot after defensive mix up with the keeper when they both went with a right wing cross, but his only mistake. You still get the feeling Vincent Kompany will walk back into this spot though. 6/10. Matija Nastasic: Came off injured at half time; completely shackled Soldado in first half though. 6/10. Gael Clichy: Defended well against Walker and Lennon and best of a back four that was seldom tested. 6.5/10. Jesus Navas: Best display in a Man City shirt with two goals and an assist. Shares the man of the match award with Aguero. His opener was a wonderfully precise finish. Been waiting to see the former Sevilla winger replicate the direct threat he was in La Liga after summer switch. Will he build on this performance? 8.5/10.
