Man City 6-3 Arsenal: Premier League Player Ratings

Mathieu Flamini: Had a torrid time in the holding role today and clearly culpable for a couple of goals. Subbed. 3/10.

Theo Walcott: Tried runs in behind and scored deflected equalizer at 1-1. Netted a classy second to cap a fine team move. Denied a hat-trick on his first start for three months when Pantilimon tipped his free kick away in stoppage time. As good as any Arsenal player. 7/10.

Mesut Ozil: Assist for Walcott's equalizer at 1-1, but misplaced pass towards Flamini seized upon by Fernandinho to make it 3-1. Played a part in build-up for Walcott's second. Should've gone to applaud the visiting fans at full time. 6/10.

Jack Wilshere: Shanked an effort horribly wide first half, but teed up decent Giroud chance in second. Failed to protect Monreal from Zabaleta raids. Tested Pantilimon with strike at 4-2. Lost possession to Nasri in build-up to fifth City goal. 5.5/10.

Olivier Giroud: Blazed over on the slide from Wilshere's lovely cross at 3-1 and later headed glanced a header from Sagna's centre wide. Had the ball in the net at 4-2, but flagged offside. Subbed. 5/10.

Subs: Thomas Vermaelen: Went to close down Fernandinho too late for City's third goal and the same again for the fifth goal. Chronic lack of sharpness exposed in 50 minutes off the bench. 3/10.

Serge Gnabry: Wenger turned to young German at 4-2 down and 20 minutes to go. Showed glimpses, but nothing more. Rating N/A.

Nicklas Bendtner: Given 15 minutes in place of Giroud. Like the Frenchman, Bendtner had the ball in City's net but flagged offside. Rating N/A.
