Man City Transfer News: Carlos Tevez To Real Madrid?

Real Madrid are preparing to make a shock move for controversial Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez.

The Sun. The Spanish giants are in the market for a new striker and believe Tevez's performances in the second half of the campaign that helped the Blues win their first ever Premier League title, are enough to prove he still has the talent to play at the top level. Despite City's U-turn on playing Tevez towards the second half of last season and the now amicable relationship the player has with manager Roberto Mancini, the club are still willing to sell Tevez for a big money offer and the Eastlands club would be willing to offload their Argentine star for £25 million. Tevez is on a £198,000 per-week deal at City which has two years left to run on his contract but the Etihad owners would prefer to use the funds of his sale to purchase new recruits, such as Arsenal's Robin Van Persie who is a big transfer target.
