Man City Transfers: 5 Flops That Need To Leave In The Summer

4. Scott Sinclair

Considering it cost City £8 million to sign Sinclair from Swansea last year, it's pretty fair to say he has been a complete flop at the Etihad. The England international has made just the two league starts under Roberto Mancini and in a midfield containing the likes of David Silva and James Milner, it is difficult to see the winger ever getting a look in. City assistant manager David Platt said recently that the midfielder is free to quit City if ever he tires of his bit-part role and he recently emerged as a loan target for Everton. It's a dramatic fall from grace for the former Chelsea man, of whom great things were expected of during his formative years at Stamford Bridge. Yet he was subsequently farmed out on loan 6 times throughout his Blues career before ultimately ending up at Swansea. He has failed to seize his opportunity since being given another crack of the whip at a big Premier League side.
