Man City Transfers: 5 Players Manuel Pellegrini Needs To Sign To Avoid Crisis

1. Mario Gomez

gomez Another striking option to solve Pellegrini's forward fiasco is Bayern Munich's Mario Gomez, who is being lined up as a replacement for Carlos Tevez. The German international looks likely to move on from Bayern this summer having played second fiddle for much of last season to Mario Mandzukic, while he could fall even further down the pecking order if the Champions of Europe land their desired summer targets, thought to include Robert Lewandowski and Liverpool's Luis Suarez. At just 27, Gomez still has years left in him and has been prolific during his time at Bayern, plundering 113 goals in 175 appearances. Despite featuring just 21 times in the Bundesliga last season, he was also still able to net 11 times, to add to his season tally of 19, adequately illustrating his fearsome eye for goal. Are Manchester City in crisis? Who does Pellegrini need to sign to abate his striker shortage? Let us know in the comment section, below.
