Man City Transfers: 5 Potential Replacements For Yaya Toure
4. Sergio Busquets
If City are in the market for a replacement for Yaya Toure and are also looking for someone with a bit more experience, then they could reignite their interest in Barcelona's Sergio Busquets. The midfielder has been on the Citizen's radar since 2012 with former manager Roberto Mancini keen on signing the then-24-year-old. Nothing came of that interest however but, with Toure on the brink at Etihad Stadium, the Manchester club could renew their approach. Barcelona endured a torrid season in 2012-13, finishing up empty-handed for the first time in six years, while the Catalans have done business with City before, ironically selling them Toure in 2010. With new manager Luis Enrique looking to put his own stamp on the club, he could be tempted to sell Busquets - if the price is right. It would take a massive effort from City however to lure the Barcelona-born midfielder away from his native Catalonia, however, having spent his entire career at the Nou Camp. it could be that he is looking for a fresh challenge next season.
