Man City vs Man Utd - 5 Reasons Why Red Devils Will Win
4. Robin Van Persie
What can be said about Robin van Persie? The goalscoring machine has started this season in a similar fashion to the way he finished the last. The emphatic striker has scored 6 goals in 6 games for United this season and looks like he's only going to get better. After scoring four in the first two games (against Wigan and Swansea), Van Persie and United hit a mild dry patch and failed to score in 2 consecutive games, understandably they were against Chelsea and Liverpool, but nonetheless - RvP had surprisingly failed to score in two consecutive games. It was much unlike him. Fortunately for him then, that he was afforded the most wonderful opportunity to against Crystal Palace when referee Moss adjudged that Dikgacoi had fouled Ashley Young. RvP converted the spot kick well and went on to score a much better goal against United's German opponents in mid-week, with an incredibly acrobatic finish from an Antonio Valencia cross. Whilst Robin van Persie may not always be on form, he can produce anything out of nothing, and City will have to be wary of him.
