Man Utd 0-1 Everton - 5 Critical Mistakes David Moyes Made In Damaging Defeat

1. Mishandling Robin van Persie

Robin van Persie has now missed United's last three Premier League games and that is because, according to Dutch fitness specialist Raymond Verheijen, David Moyes is mishandling him. The Dutchman is out with a combination of toe and groin problems which Verheijen claimed are indicative of €œovertraining-fatigue-injuries€ due to Moyes and United's medical staff overworking the striker. And this had a direct knock-on effect against Everton, with United twice denied by the woodwork and countlessly by Tim Howard as they went in search of that elusive winner. Had van Persie been on the pitch, would one of those chances have flown in? Had Moyes not mistreated the former Arsenal man, would United still have gone three matches without a win? Or is it perhaps just a little too coincidental that the Red Devils haven't won a game when RVP hasn't been in the side? Predecessor Sir Alex Ferguson knew how to get the best from his side with regular squad rotation, but it seems Moyes cannot see the bigger picture. What mistakes do you think David Moyes made as United crashed to a mid-table place last night? Let us know in the comment section, below.
