8. United Just Don't Create Chances

This season, United are creating a grand total of 5 shots on target per game on average, and with a conversion rate of just 16%, it's no surprise United haven't been scoring too many goals. Which is not what you want when you're trying to win the league. Though it is possibly unfair to directly compare, given the horde of strikers they have, neighbours Man City have a staggering 14 more goals already, and worse, United currently have the scorers of 16 of their goals on the sidelines nursing injuries. This leaves Danny Welbeck (8) as the club's highest scoring starter with 18-year old Adnan Januzaj second on just 3. With a distinct lack of chances being created, and even less being scored, it's no surprise that United have fallen to defeat numerous times this season, having been outscored by teams with notoriously misfiring strikers - including goal-shy Newcastle United, and more recently Tottenham Hotspur and Swansea City. Moyes must get his players creating (and converting) more chances if his team are to climb into Champions League contention.
