Man Utd: 10 Stats That Prove Moyes Is Getting It All Wrong

5. Are United Predictable?

It may seem daft, but could Manchester United be too predictable? A staggering 43% of the side's attacks have come down the right wing - primarily from Valencia and Rafael - and teams will be well aware of this fact, no doubt factoring it into pre-match preparation. An over-reliance on the pace and power of Valencia and under-performing counterparts in Nani and Young could cause United to be incredibly easy to predict - especially with Cleverley providing next to nothing through the centre. With knowledge that United are reliant on the right, teams will naturally play their better players on the left in hope of combating this, or at least doubling up when defending against the right-hand sided players. Unless Moyes can get his wingers performing on both sides of the pitch, he's going to pull some sort of metaphorical rabbit from a hat (or an expensive one from the transfer window.)
